Despite his shy side, Elijah is a very charming young man. His new love is horseback riding. Elijah attends riding therapy class and smiles the entire time he is riding. He also enjoys camping, 4 wheelers, puzzles, and jumping on a trampoline. Elijah is not a picky eater although he prefers not to eat fast food. His favorite candy is Skittles. Elijah is developmentally delayed. In school, he attends a special program called PALS which helps him with basic academic skills. Elijah is a monitor and with the help of an aide, takes memos from classroom to classroom and seems to really enjoy the social aspect of school. He would do really well in a home with other children as he loves to be around and observe other youth. Elijah requires a very patient, committed and nurturing forever family who will advocate for him.
