Shameka is very reserved when meeting new people. She often needs encouragement to participate in fun activities that she will later admit she very much enjoyed. Even though Shameka appears very independent, she very much desires the close bond and love of a family. When given a chance, she develops genuine, close relationships and cares deeply about others. In 11th grade special education classes, she would like to be a police officer or fire fighter when she grows up. Shameka needs a strong family who can advocate on her behalf to help her reach her goals. She has a sister with whom she would like to maintain contact.
